Re: updating at home

I donīt mind the thread being "hijacked" as you put it Meg. Itīs nice to see your plant stand, it looks very elegant. Itīs nice to see other peoples homes and ideas.

I am thinking of moving house in the near future and I know buyers like light carpets.
The carpet is lovely, I like the neutral shades which go with everything and are right on trend.
I got my William Morris fabric about 3-4 years ago on-line in a sale, but exactly what I wanted.
I have long curtains and also blinds for the small windows and the cushions which my daughter made, she also made fabric covered pelmets for the windows.
lots of people say how much they like them.

Re: updating at home

Iīm thinking about (sneakily of course) changing a few things in my bedroom, I have a few ideas but when I will start on them I donīt know, it wonīt be until after summer I think, too busy with various events and people coming and going. The trouble is I start off just wanting to change one thing but then everything snowballs, one thing leads to another so I must restrain myself for the time being. I can be too impulsive and I know it. When we lived in the UK I went out one Sunday morning for a loaf and came back having bought a new car. Another time I went out looking for a couple of tiles to replace some cracked ones in the bathroom, came back having ordered a complete new bathroom, Jacuzzi bath, new floor, new everything. However I canīt afford to do that kind of thing these days so mostly itīs a bit here and a bit there as and when I get twitchy.

Thank you Carol. I will get round to it eventually, bit by bit no doubt.
