I wasn't there either but I know what happened. Those who ignore history are bound to repeat it.
There are some dreadful things done in war time, on all sides. All concerned remember them, why pick out one or two? Is there a competition on who suffered the most?
As for repeating them, it goes on in one country or another,
ad infinitum so we are hardly likely to forget.
Savvy, You can cite specific laws until the cows come home, and you can defend angry, violent people. I don't care. You where not there; I was. You did not see the violence on his face; I did.
Such people are, thankfully, in the extreme minority. If he had not gone ballistic on me, he would have done so on someone else. People like that, sooner or later, end up hurting someone and then wind-up in jail.
