Trump's out of control:

Trump news - live: President pushes bizarre conspiracy Bin Laden is still alive

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b1030956.html

Donald Trump is under fire for retweeting a bizarre conspiracy theory arguing that al-Qaeda terrorist Osama bin Laden was kept as a “trophy kill” by the Barack Obama administration to boost the 44th president’s re-election hopes with one eye on the 2012 ballot - and that his killing may have been faked with a body double.
Not just lies for mugs but delusions, too:

Donald Trump on Thursday claimed he has ordered the killing of “bigger names” in the violent Islamist extremist realm than al-Qaeda founder and 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden.

"I killed Soleimani, I killed al-Baghdadi – names that everybody, bigger names than Osama bin Laden,” Mr Trump told Fox Business. “Nobody could find them until I came along"

If your upset about that, just wait until the Dems lose by a landslide in a few weeks. Then you can have another 4 years of sticking pins in your eyes and hating everything.

Trump continues bizarre appeals to suburban women as he campaigns in Covid hotspots

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/10/18/p...mer/index.html

If President Donald Trump loses his reelection bid in November, it will be in part because of his fundamental misunderstanding of the beliefs of "suburban women," whom he has tried to win back with a series of bizarre and racist appeals that seem more targeted to a stereotype from the 1950s and 1960s than the American women who actually live in those areas today.

Many of the female voters who have abandoned Trump recoil from his divisive language and disapprove of both his handling of race relations and the pandemic. But he has tried to convince them to support him through a campaign of fear and xenophobia, with claims about the Democratic agenda that plunge deep into the realm of the ridiculous and would be believed only by the most naïve, low-information voters.

His speech Saturday night in Michigan exemplified those political miscalculations when it comes to women he has referred to as the "suburban housewives of America" as he tried to create fear about crime from immigrants and argued that Joe Biden will upend life in the suburbs by putting public housing projects in the middle of leafy neighborhoods -- a reference to an Obama-era housing regulation aimed at ending segregation.

"Would you like a nice low-income housing project next to your suburban beautiful ranch style house? Generally speaking, no," Trump said in Muskegon. "I saved your suburbs -- women -- suburban women, you're supposed to love Trump," he said.
The President went on to make the ludicrous claim that Biden and Democrats want to overwhelm Michigan neighborhoods with refugees from Syria, Somalia and Yemen, and "poorly vetted migrants from jihadist regions."
Rabidly racist rabble-rouser .....

Trump continues his long-standing pattern of mocking women he perceives as opponents in sexist or misogynistic language

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/10/18/p...mer/index.html

Trump accused Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, whom he has previously called "a dictator," of unnecessarily locking down her state as she fought the pandemic. That led his crowd to break into a chant of "Lock her up!" a little more than a week after federal authorities revealed a plot by extremists to kidnap Whitmer and overthrow the government. Rather than condemning the derailed plot — which led to terrorism, conspiracy and weapons charges against more than a dozen men — or discouraging that kind of divisive language, Trump essentially endorsed the cheer with his authoritarian rhetoric about jailing his political opponents by adding Clinton and the Biden family into the mix.

He complained that Whitmer said publicly that his refusal to denounce White supremacists, extremists and hate groups has emboldened activists like those who allegedly planned the foiled attack against her.

"I guess they said she was threatened, right?" Trump said, seeming to doubt the specifics of the case and underplaying the violence it could have entailed. "She was threatened, and she blamed me — she blamed me, and our people were the ones that worked with her people, so let's see what happens."
Whitmer immediately responded on Twitter: "This is exactly the rhetoric that has put me, my family, and other government officials' lives in danger while we try to save the lives of our fellow Americans. It needs to stop." Her staff echoed that plea. "Every single time the President does this at a rally, the violent rhetoric towards her immediately escalates on social media. It has to stop. It just has to," her deputy digital director wrote on Twitter.

On Friday at a campaign event in Detroit, Biden condemned Trump for refusing to denounce White supremacist groups at the first debate and for criticizing Whitmer after the kidnapping plot was revealed.

"What the hell's the matter with this guy?" Biden said. "Attacking Governor Whitmer on the same day this plot was exposed. It's despicable."

US election 2020: Trump starts three-state campaign blitz after casting vote

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2020-54678821

He will hold rallies in North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin on Saturday alone as he seeks to make up ground against his Democratic challenger Joe Biden.

Mr Biden, who holds a steady lead in national polls, is campaigning in Pennsylvania, another key state.

More than 50 million Americans have already voted, a record figure spurred by the pandemic.
The Republican president has continued to hold packed rallies despite a new surge in coronavirus infections. that is particularly affecting the Midwest - home to several electoral battlegrounds.

Speaking in Lumberton, North Carolina on Saturday, Mr Trump said America's coronavirus pandemic had been blown out of proportion and mocked his Democratic rival for making ominous warnings about a bleak winter.
Coronavirus: US cases reach record high amid new wave of infections

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-54670386

The Covid Tracking Project reported 83,010 new cases in the US on Friday.

According to the Covid Tracking Project, nearly 8,500,000 cases of coronavirus have been reported in the US since the pandemic began.

The daily increase on Friday surpassed by more than 6,000 cases the tracking project's previous record of 76,842 on 17 July.

Over the last week, the US has tallied 441,541 new infections - its largest seven-day increase since the end of July.

The number of people who have died after contracting coronavirus has also steadily increased during the last six days, but is still significantly below the peak of over 2,000 daily deaths reported in April.

US Surgeon General Jerome Adams has warned that hospital admission numbers are growing, but mortality rates are falling due to better patient care.
As usual, Trump is out of touch with reality - there may well be another 5,000,000 cases and 75,000 deaths in the US by Xmas (not that he cares) ..... !

Trump back in Florida

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2020-54742419

Florida is a must-win for Mr Trump and a key opinion poll average shows him 1.4 points behind Mr Biden, which amounts to a statistical dead heat.

At a 100-minute outdoor rally, Mr Trump told thousands of people, many of them crowded together without masks: "Joe Biden's plan is to deliver punishing [coronavirus] lockdowns. He's going to lock you down You will have a crippling depression the likes of which you've never seen if sleepy Joe becomes your president. Look, we were compared to Europe. 'Germany is doing so well, France is doing so well, everyone's doing so well.' Now, they're not doing well. They're spiking up big, they're shutting down, they're locking down. I disagree with that because we're never going to lock down again. We locked down, we understood the disease and now we're open for business."
The man's a moron with a message for mugs …..

How well the US "understands the disease"

Top of the world table:

Cases: 9,212,567 Deaths: 234,177

If Trump were fighting a war, his "losses" would be equivalent to TWO complete field armies (i.e. 3 corps or 10 divisions or 30 regiments) …..

Since he's not fighting a war, then his "losses" are equivalent to wiping the city of Hialeah, Florida (the sixth-largest city in in the state) off the map ..... ..... but that, probably, wouldn't bother him ..... the city is largely Spanish-speaking .....

If it wasn't for Trump closing the borders, against the democrats protests it would have been in the millions.

Biden is having to defend himself all the way in his election campaign because of his corruption, fraud and illegal dealings with China and Ukraine. You should be defending your candidate instead of making up fantasy stories about your opposition.

Try writing something from a stand-point of truth and facts and see how far you get.

You can start here ... and while your at it, tell Beijing Biden he is running against Donald Trump as your brain damaged bumbling idiot thinks he is running against George Bush.

Coronavirus: US sees record-high daily Covid numbers as election nears

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-54751759

The US saw a record high of 91,000 new Covid-19 cases reported on Thursday, with spikes in dozens of states just days before the presidential election.

The same day, over 1,000 Americans died with the virus, as the national death toll and number of patients in hospital continue to trend upward.
Tha's another battalion "wiped out" in a day - the third in October .....

Living in his alternate reality, Trump tweeted: "More Testing equals more Cases. We have best testing. Deaths WAY DOWN."

Trump promotes baseless Covid conspiracy

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b1474042.html

As he continues his increasingly desperate bid to retain the White House, Donald Trump took to the stage in Michigan to baselessly claim in front of his loyal supporters that doctors are purposefully exaggerating coronavirus deaths in order to receive more money.

“Our doctors get more money if someone dies from Covid. You know that, right?" Mr Trump said falsely. “I mean, our doctors are very smart people.”
Surely even Trump's mugs don't believe such patently obvious lies .....

'Red mirage': the 'insidious' scenario if Trump declares an early victory

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...enario-victory

Scenarios for how an election disaster could unfold in the United States next week involve lawsuits, lost ballots, armed insurrection and other potential crises in thousands of local jurisdictions on 3 November. But there is one much simpler scenario for election-night chaos, centering on a single address, that many analysts see as among the most plausible.

The scenario can be averted, election officials say, by heightening public awareness about it – and by cautioning vigilance against carefully targeted lies that Donald Trump has already begun to tell.
Known as the “red mirage”, the scenario could develop if Trump appears to be leading in the presidential race late on election night and declares victory before all the votes are counted.

In the scenario, Trump’s declaration of victory is echoed on the conservative TV network Fox News and by powerful Republicans across the US. By the time final returns show that in fact Joe Biden has won the presidency, perhaps days later, the true election result has been dragged into a maelstrom of disinformation and chaos.

The delay that officials know will be required to finish the counting could be enough time for Trump to sow doubt about the result, an effort the president has already begun.

“Bad things happen in Philadelphia,” Trump said at the first presidential debate in September, warning about “tens of thousands of ballots being manipulated” and “urging my people” to watch polling sites carefully, despite there being no evidence of widespread fraud in US elections.

Current and former Pennsylvania officials and activists say that the antidote to the “red mirage” is as simple as the scenario itself. The public must understand, these officials say, that Philadelphia will not be able to report its election result on the night of 3 November, and may not be able to do so for days afterward, owing to the extraordinary circumstances that the pandemic has wrought.
Such an attempt at mass disinformation might well be Trump's last gasp …..
