Besoeker has provided a succinct and correct reply.

However, to add a bit more detail with regard to your point about centrifugal force....if you stand on one of the poles then you would not have any centrifugal forces acting on you. And yet, people aren't suddenly becoming heavier nor indeed suddenly getting pinned to the ground
