Product endorsement

Would you endorse and promote a product you didn't believe in, that is if your job is selling

Re: Product endorsement

I can't imagine ever doing that. But then again I have never been a salesman. Not in the usual sense leastways. Next!

I've worked in sales, my job has been to point out the positives and keep quiet about the negatives. In sales, it's important to know the competition, and that will mean you know there is always something better in many ways. You've got to enjoy that challenge.

Re: Product endorsement

Of course!

Whyever not?

Seriously, if it's part of your job or if it's going to result in a profitable outcome then I really see absolutely no issue.

If people don't like the heat then keep out of the kitchen.

Re: Product endorsement

Some salespeople would sell their own mother to get commission and keep their figures up!

Re: Product endorsement

No - I quit a job because I didn't believe in their products once.

Re: Product endorsement

If I didn't believe in something I was selling I wouldn't be doing the job, I would do a different job.

Re: Product endorsement

I did 3yrs as a technical sales engineer in the early 1980s. I loved the technical engineering side but the sales side nearly killed me. In the end I resigned and went on the roll & roll for 6 months before getting a job in Rome.
