My cousin was the high achiever (Dux Proxime Accessit I think). Unfortunately, she had Polio which left her with a bit of a limp.

I can clearly remember falling off the arm of an armchair & fracturing my arm at the age of 3. I have no memory of a hospital or them putting the plaster cast on though, but I can remember a neighbour, who had a taxi, driving me there!
I wonder if our memories are selective at that age?
