Meanwhile many Isis fighters have returned to Britain, probably some far more dangerous than this misguided young woman.
I am sure that we are all aware of what the ruling was, but I have not heard anybody say we should let her come back.
I would think she was an illegal immigrant when she went to Syria at the age of 15, but maybe their laws allow such behavior, seeing as so many of their citizens feel it is alright to just sail to the UK and stay here!
If she was so misguided that she had children with a terrorist, perhaps she would have allowed them to become terrorists and become the next generation of suicide bombers that would kill more innocent Europeans.
It is idiots like her, that have children to terrorists, who are producing children who will be trained to become future suicide bombers.
Perhaps if she had put her brain into gear & kept her legs crossed, the British people would have more sympathy for her.

According to recognized international law she might well be regarded as Bangladeshi, but that obviously does not mean that Bangladesh will accept her.

As for the argument regarding revokation of British citizenship the Supreme Court also ruled that Begum's appeal against this should be "postponed" until she can participate without "public safety being compromised."
In effect the ruling means that her case against the UK is on pause, maybe indefinately.

My personal opinion is that this is her own fault.
Had she shown at least some remorse, either verbally or in the interviews shown on our media, the outcome might - just "might" - have been different.

Thanks for explaining, Zaphod, the consequences of her actions, she has certainly dug herself a huge hole...I never knew she showed no remorse,..as you say, if she had, the outcome “ might” have been different....

Re: Shamima Begum loses.

I wonder if she would think to lie about feeling remorse, saying sorry.....basically say all the "right" things to get back here.....or would she get into bother from ISIS for that?

If allowed to return to the UK it would set a precedence that would be exploited until the (rest of) the cows come home.

Forgive me for asking this but where does that piece of vermin stand regarding an appeal to the ECHR which we are still signed up to? (OK, I'll go and wash my mouth out now )

Re: Shamima Begum loses.

Begum is a minor consideration , what is more important to me is that a message is sent to all those who have glamorous ideas about joining terrorists that they are free to go but should not expect to return .

Begum has duel citizenship with Pakistan so she can request to go there. Others don't so although we have managed to block her the ruling may not be seen as setting a precedent to block others who don't have duel citizenship and can argue the 'stateless' rule.

She was either stupid or agreed with what ISIS were doing!

As a mother, who's children have died, I wonder what sympathy she has for the mothers of children who were killed in the suicide attack by Salman Ramadan Abedi!

Isn't it time that anybody, who is involved with terrorist groups, should be removed from the country where they kill it's residents? We should stop treating them as criminals....they are our enemies & we had no problem killing enemies during our wars
She should have to find a country where terrorist are accepted or continue to live her life in a refugee camp where she may learn a lesson!
Hear hear.

Yes, I read about this on Facebook.
What I find staggering is that the Supreme Court actually ruled in favour of Britain!

As long as it is kept from entering the UK that is entirely the responsibility of where she is.

If it's outside of the UK or EU then it's either the UNHRC or more likely the Cairo Convention.

She has absolutely no right to return to the UK because she is not British and because we did not leave her stateless and when we expelled her we broke no international laws or conventions.

My choice would be to pass her to the legitimate Syrian government who I have no doubt would welcome her and the rest of the "refugees" in the camp she has been hiding in. That would be the last anyone would hear of any of them - and a damn good thing to.

Hi

The ECHR is not an EU Body, it has far more members than the EU.

We set it up, it is our baby and was designed to make sure another Nazi Germany could arise.

It protects our right to Free Speech.

The problem is with our Government and the way we administer it.

We pay Poland to keep one of our Terrorists.

You do not want to be a Terrorist in Piotrków Trybunalski Prison.

You are in solitary, you have standard prison food, no need to eat anything Non Halal, your choice you can starve yourself to death.

You have absolutely no chance of getting on the Internet or a smuggled mobile, you are kept in a Faraday Cage.

All legal.
