It was almost the ruination of our then business as no guests could come onto the land for their experience & handling days with the birds and all were prepaid either gifts or some groups of up to 6 on a hunting day. All had to be refunded if they weren't happy to have their vouchers extended. But we couldnt make any money and breeding display birds for a quick quid just isnt viable and doesn't sit well morally. We scraped by, the then OH started his career as a press photographer so he did some freelancing and took a lot of the cattle burning and dumping pics around the country.
