You could well have a point there. Tell me about the winners and losers from a hard brexit.

the European Union is the vehicle for reclaiming some of the sovereignty you lost. And do you know where that power is now? The power is in Washington. The power lies in Silicon Valley. The power is in Beijing. With Facebook, Huawei, Apple, with the large capital flows: that is where the real power lies. A stronger Union may reclaim some of that power, your souvereignty, for you. Outside, standing alone, you can only dream of souvereignty.

But the curtains will be brown by then unless there is a power cut and the fan does not work.

Re: Brexit doom v Preject fear

One good example of the EU gaining control of every aspect of our lives is this procurement rule.

Ireland..

https://www.irishexaminer.com/breaki.../--942798.html

The Department of Education has admitted it was forced to breach EU procurement rules over appointing a contractor to carry out remediation works to 22 schools found to have structural flaws last year.

Also the Republic of Ireland

https://www.irishtimes.com/news/poli...deal-1.3944298

Death knell for Irish beef. (they can't blame that on Brexit )

EU and Turkey

https://www.dailysabah.com/eu-affair...ys-eu-official

EU official says they will stand by Turkey in a refugee crisis
