Just give yourself a chance, take it one step at a time. Mostly there's a good crowd on here, you will no doubt find those you can get along with and those you cannot, that is just how life is.

You may remind the woman of a cousin she despises or that she wished she was as thin as you. Humans are complex creatures. Probably the best advice I’ve been given is to not expect anything from anyone. That way you aren’t disappointed. Just make sure you are happy and polite to those around you. That’s the best you can do. Worrying about some stranger who well may have mental issues is honestly a waste of your precious time.
