As another poster suggested, get yourself a tablet as that might be better.

Also I notice your comments about not getting on too well on here. It takes time, quite a lot of time to 'get to know' people in real life and on here it's just words on a screen so not exactly easy. Just give yourself a chance, take it one step at a time. Mostly there's a good crowd on here, you will no doubt find those you can get along with and those you cannot, that is just how life is.
thoughtful post thanks :202:

Baz, you are one step away from being my "go to" guy on this forum...... very observant, and spot on with encouragement when I need it. Thank you.

That’s my line of thinking also

Precisely.

I do this often too Carol and my husband is continuously explaining that it might have absolutely nothing to do with me.
You may remind the woman of a cousin she despises or that she wished she was as thin as you. Humans are complex creatures. Probably the best advice I’ve been given is to not expect anything from anyone. That way you aren’t disappointed. Just make sure you are happy and polite to those around you. That’s the best you can do. Worrying about some stranger who well may have mental issues is honestly a waste of your precious time.

Thanks Bratti, I try my best to be that person but not everybody sees that, especially family members at times!

You've no doubt heard the saying though "You can choose your friends but not your family!

Thanks for your kind words Right Now, you are more than welcome. I am well pleased that my words have, quite unexpectedly, given encouragement when it was needed.

Re: Being liked.

I think most people start off like puppies friendly and anxious to be liked .
Life teaches us differently .
