Slightly off topic but can I butt in with a question rather than start a new thread ?
Does anyone know if you have to have a bi lateral flow test before a dental appointment and also do you have to produce proof of having had your jabs ?
Zuleika, l have been to the dentist three times since the pandemic started.
All l was asked to do, was fill in info online re. my health/any changes since my last appointment.
The day before my appointment, the receptionist rang me and asked the usual Covid questions. On arriving at the dentist, l could not walk in the front door, l had to ring the bell and wait until it was opened to allow me in. My temperature was tested on the doorstep outside.

I had to swill my mouth for a minute or so, with the worst tasting stuff ever.

The first time l went, l hadn’t had my vaccinations. The second and third time l had only had my first injection. I was never questioned about my vaccination.

Everything was carried out safely and thoroughly.

I understand you haven’t been vaccinated, so l am not sure if things have changed since l went in April?

Re: Will You Ditch Your Mask When Covid Restrictions Are Lifted?

For a number of years, in the course of my work, whenever entering anyone’s home, I used to ask, “do you want me to take my shoes off?” I’d say the response was 50/50, yes or no.

I suspect that for a long time to come, the first question asked when tradesmen, etc come calling will be… “do you want me to wear a face mask?”

It’ll probably also result in a 50/50 response.

I'll look at the situation & decide then whether to put my mask on or not.

I don't wear a mask now. I have a badge declaring me exempt from wearing face covering.

Big relief it is too. I can't stand them!!

Yes, I'll keep one on me too, for a while anyway.

Listening to discussions on radio and tv it seems many don't want to discard masks at the present time.
As most of us tend to only use them in inside environments like shops and transport shouldn't we continue to protect those workers.
Especially as it seems we are in for a fourth wave in September.

I wish now l had added one of those Poll things at the top of this thread.
Then again, l don’t think l would have known how to add it!!

I read in the newspaper, Brexit ‘Leavers’ are more likely to ditch their mask and the ‘Remainers’ will continue to wear a mask.
