Dawn Butler Booted Out of the Commons

Cackling Dawn Butler gets thrown out of the House of Commons for insulting the Prime Minister and quite rightly so !

These kind of petulant rants from the left do nothing to help debate, instead, they just reveal the incompetence and stupidity of these half wit light weights.

She was asked to leave, which she did without protest. To say "thrown out" doesn't quite paint an accurate picture.

Her crime was not as general as "insulting" the Prime Minister, but specifically calling him a liar, which is specifically against the rules of the house. It was proper for her to be asked to leave, even though her claim about the Prime Minister was accurate.

It came across as neither petulant nor a rant; she said what she had to say in a calm reasonable fashion. Although most of what she said probably contained substantially more spin than truth, the tendency to do that is pretty much standard practice throughout the House of Commons, and throughout politics in general, and certainly not exclusive to "the left".

I dare say she is a political light weight; I have certainly never heard of her. She didn't come across as a half wit, though. I got the impression that she was significantly more intelligent than, say, you are, Bread.

As usual, Bread, your representation of the situation bears very little resemblance to the facts or truth of the matter.

Re: Dawn Butler Booted Out of the Commons

Butler knew precisely what she was doing. She left the usage of the word "lie" until the last sentence or two of her speech, most likely knowing that this would lead to her being told to leave and hence raise the profile and public awareness of her entire speech.

Clever political chicanery.

So she's penalised for telling the truth?
He is a liar, he's always been a liar, sacked twice in the past for lying.

I don't think that was a penalty Sandra?

Labour never have a point to make, just insults, cheap shots and stupid stunts. Labour are unelectable and haven't come up with any new ideas, still bleating the same socialist clap-trap that nobody wants except a small minority.

This is just more of the same from same old labour, the bankrupt, dysfunctional unpopular numpty party and their latest stunt with Butler (the ex shadow front bencher) doesn't contribute anything to a sensible debate, only insults and more cheap shots.

Goodbye labour, abandoned by the voters and now abandoned by the unions, all because of people like Dawn Butler.

Hardly penalised. It was her intention to be told to leave.

It is a strange thing that, if I recall correctly, MPs are exempt from being sued for slander or libel when they speak in the House of Commons, but are not allowed to call each other liars in the same setting. An expression involving words such as "honour", "amongst" and "thieves" springs to mind.

Butler is telling lies. She is a bigger liar than Johnson thats for sure. Remember her attack on the police calling them racists for singling her out for a spot check, even though they couldn't see who was driving because of her blacked out windows ? And why did she claim £66,000 in expenses ? Probably to bail out her drug dealer son ?

Probably
