Anyone here into classical?
I am no expert but would love to swop a few inexpert thoughts

Re: Classical

I like classical Music Phil but rarely listen to any music these days because of Tinnitus
I get less irritated when listening to the spoken word through loud buzzing than trying to appreciate the nuances of music.

Re: Classical

A couple more favourites...
I have heard it said an example of the spirit leaving the body (though as an atheist I don't believe in spirits ) ...

I love the Judex from 'Mors et Vita'
Turn up the volume and close your eyes.....

Re: Classical

Beethoven would be one of my favourite composers
Recently listened to his 7th symphony which was brilliant
Also love Tchaikovsky Swan Lake

Also recently listened to some Sibelius. Very different!

Re: Classical

I don't know if others are the same but as I have got older I find some music to be so evocative of the past I can no longer listen to it, I find doing so is physically painful and it turns me into a jibbering wreck .
The Bruck Violin Concerto is one such piece...
