Im surprised it even started. ....the Trident was very unreliable.
Not one of Triumph's best efforts.

Re: Trident Missile goes astray

Obviously no-one else has the forethought about this incident. If one missile can go astray, how many more of 'our' missiles are likely to do the same??? and if they do, so much for our nuclear deterrent.

Furthermore, nnotwithstanding the 'nasty party' voted to upgrade our nuclear deterrent by spending yet more £squillions only last year, just how secure is the UK possessing nuclear missiles that are to all intents and purposes so much expensive junk???

Galty I understand cruise missiles weigh many tons and the thought of one going astray and landing on anyone a school for example isn't a laughing matter to me.

No doubt had it gone astray in the direction of Russia UJ wouldn't have found it quite so amusing.

I don't find any part in the failure of a weapon amusing wherever it goes astray .

I am sure a proportion of all weapons fail when being tested, that is why they test them.
Does that mean we shouldn't have any weapons in the interests of our countries security.

Re: Trident Missile goes astray

How can one missile going astray effect its deterrent values?
You'd be far more concerned about the accurate ones to bother about the inaccurate.
