There is no point getting upperty with Michael Buerk, he is basically a 'nobody' and the law won't change overnight because of what he said, that's just his opinion in the same way a fat person can ignore his comment, tell him to 'bugger off' and continue to stuff pies in their faces!But perhaps there should be a stigma attached to being fat in the same way it has been attached to smokers. All the health advice and gruesome pictures of infected lungs failed to stop people from smoking, but once they were made to feel like second class citizens and err'd at by the general public it did more to stop folk smoking than all the convincing in the world.
Michael Buerk only said out loud what most thin healthy people think but daren't say for fear of upsetting the snowflakes and PC crowd........
