What is it that makes men dress up as women?
I am not referring here to transsexuals, transgender, misleaders or any others who may have difficulties in finding their intended or adopted sexual orientation.

I mean the custom of men dressing up as women, largely in the theatre or entertainment. Pantomime comes to mind.
Is it, like the case with Ventriloquists, disguising themselves as women, certain men find deep recognition and liberation in expressing their inner beliefs, often in an outrageous way?
