Re: Self Isolation

OGF, there was social division on my estate, there shouldn't have been but there was.

It was okay before the motor car Spitty, now there is so much diversity and mixing up of the people. Who know who lives next door....

Them days have gone, we used to worry about a Red under the Bed, now we have an unintentional Capitalist.

I live in somewhat isolation by choice. I have my wife on the weekends (who's company I enjoy) but the rest of the time I am happy to see nobody. It has nothing to do with depression, mental illness or poverty, although I may suffer to some degree with all. I am just sick of people and the drama that goes with them, and I enjoy peace and quite. When I am involved in a project, which is nearly all the time, I don't need people hanging around getting in my way.

That's very honest Savvy. I used to be an ultra social person. When I was very young I was always looking for a party between serious stuff. Always had heaps of friends. When I settled down my social life reduced down to my family and a few friends. Now I am more like you. I spent my whole professional life dealing with people who were troubled or damaged in some way. I managed to escape into retirement relatively unscathed. Now I just want peace and quiet with a bit of music mixed in. So I think I know where you're coming from. You sound like you have achieved a peaceful life that suits you. Good on you

Re: Self Isolation

Summer . That made me smile .

Like a lot of us mums I'm really independent I honestly never ask for anything , I pay workmen to help me in the house or do it myself . My daughter does say I'll get K to do that for you but I wait months and so I pay someone.

I'm not really worried I dont see much of them I miss the grandchildren more !
