The problem with any kind of climbing or hillwalking is that one person's 'dreadful' conditions are just 'entertaining' to another

Couldn't agree more. I've done Crib Goch many times, but always in reasonable conditions. Wouldn't attempt it now though - too old, too unfit and no balance due to vestibular neuritis.
