Wait until it hits them and we'll see how the Irish react to that.
€21 billion per year!
Provided that USA based companies operating in the Republic don't move up the road to northern Ireland otherwise it will be a lot more.

Well the arrangement reached by Gove and Sefcovic has parts which apply regardless of whether or not a deal is reached.

Now if the EU can agree that NI can import UK chilled sausages OK for 6 months & other goods for 3 months, they really aren't going to be able to do much about it if the UK re-introduces the ammendments that are only going to be removed if we get a deal.
There will be nothing the EU could do - they set a precedent already.
As I've said, it really does look like the government have played an absolute blinder there!

What has this got to do with what you mentioned, Bread?
Well if the UK makes it more attractive for certain business to be based in NI rather than the Republic ...........

GDPR for a start - if the USA owned companies such as FB, Google, Amazon could take advantage of UK integration, EU integration and USA integration from Northern Ireland.

He has no say over USA business; no American president ever has - it is business that sponsors the POTUS.

According to my Republican friends he's an out-and-out, dyed-in-the-wool Communist along with his rather sexy VP so, I wouldn't be too sure on what he will and won't try to do with Big Business over there.
