Wheels Coming Off Labour's EU Campaign

"Labour’s campaign to keep Britain in the EU has been lacklustre from the outset. Their leader’s heart isn’t in it, their Party is riven with factional infighting and they are plagued by fear of a possible repeat of the disaster in Scotland, losing the support of core voters who differ with them fundamentally on the issue"

http://www.conservativehome.com/left...oming-off.html

Seems the "Looney Left" party is clearly coming apart at the seams with the EU referendum separating those with true values from those pandering to higher authorities.

" two Labour MPs – John Mann, on the right of the Party, and Dennis Skinner, very much on its left – announced their decision to campaign for a Leave vote, putting further wind in Vote Leave’s sails after a good fortnight. The news hasn’t been covered as extensively today as Sarah Wollaston’s defection was yesterday (in part because they weren’t previously declared for the pro-EU campaign) but it still matters"

"Privately, Labour MPs who started the campaign predicting an easy victory are now conceding that Leave may well be on track to win. With less than two weeks to go, and with Brown, Blair and Miliband already deployed along with every imaginable scare story, they are beginning to wonder what else they can do to reverse that situation."

I am not sure labour has a campaign they seem more to be allowing a free vote or shockingly are going to vote as their constituents want them to

In other words the party is hopelessly split and fractured. Power hungry wannabes don't know whether to back Corbyn and thus cow tow to the ruling elite, or whether to stick to their guns and roots and go against him with support for Brexit. Initially I suspect they would have thought to back him just in case he ever gets to be Prime Minister, but since that's never going to happen imo, I think some are thinking they may as well go their own way and make a stand now where it can be seen as a "feather in the cap" later on when everyone looks back at who supported which side.

Your comment could equally be levelled at the 'nasty party' too, since they are in open revolt against their leadership and are split from top to bottom. If Cameron loses the referendum, how long do you expect him to remain leader??? - some in the 'nasty party' are already sharpening the knives to stick in his back!!!

Re: Wheels Coming Off Labour's EU Campaign

Labour politicians (and many diehard supporters) find themselves facing quite a conundrum. Their insistence that we should show a helping hand to any and all, and to show solidarity to the greater number, drives most of them to the Remain camp, but the UK's collapsing social structure from overcrowding is challenging this entrenched humanitarian ideal. Corbyn is intelligent enough to realise that the EU is bad news for services and communities (something Labour has always held in high regard) but instead of speaking out is selling his soul to the devil in a bid to hang on to leadership - blatant self-aggrandisement. They should all be ashamed of themselves - 'Remain In' Labour politicians that is .

At least Conservative dare to speak out if they disagree with the Leader. Unlike Labour they don't follow like sheep to preserve their jobs.

This is not a Labour V Tory vote, but one to leave the EU incase you hadn't noticed.
