Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Well, that took much longer than expected.

I wasn't seen until 3:30 then had to take a Piriton and 2 Paracetamol. I then had to wait 45 minutes until the nurse began injecting the drug into my stomach. This took around another 15 minutes.

I couldn't see any taxis so got a bus that took me into the city centre. I then walked home from there. I'm exhausted now.

Yes, I should sleep well, a 2 mile walk during rush hour. There was no way I was going to get a taxi back as it would have been double the normal cost at least.

And I've proved to myself that I can walk longer distances without being too fatigued.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Had a walk up to John Lewis and back; I didn't buy anything but got my exercise for today. I was out of breath when I got there but it is all uphill.

I've decided to make sure I get out each day for at least a 30 minute walk as I hadn't been doing this; now my fatigue isn't so bad the further away I am from the chemo but I'll stop and rest for a while if I become tired.

Also, I'm only going to eat fruit until my evening meal. I'm a Stone too heavy and want to lose this.

I wouldn't worry too much about the weight Dreamy. Glad you are able to get out and about. I am a little down at the moment, so I will just say - Take care. x

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

I haven't done much today. I awoke at 11am still tired so went back to bed at around 2 but I couldn't sleep so listened to podcasts instead. Have just got up again.

Nothing wrong in that Dreamy. Just let your body dictate to you.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

It seems to waver between my feeling fine and having lots of energy to days when I'm completely knackered not long after getting up.

I think it's down to the chemo as I've nothing else to complain about except a sore back sometimes.

You are doing fine Dreamy.
After all, chemo is poison.
