For example we freed France from the German invasion during the last war with huge loss of English lives. What about compensating us for that alone?

Well, all I can say is I respect your decision to remain in the EU. Time will tell whether that has been a good decision.

All that matters is that we leave and regain our sovereignty.

When the inevitable happens, I sincerely hope that you (and other European countries) don't expect us to come to your aid as this is your own decision freely made.

I shall say no more. I have more productive things to do.

I'm afraid Godwins law does not apply here as he was referring to the German State , not the political affiliations of its leader at the time......

Therefore .......The Germans and French ( Dutch and Belgians too for that matter) must owe us effing £billions!

And eternal reverence and respect!
