Re: The Decline of the EU (In Their Own Words)

When Angela Merkel steps down things might change. If remaining members do not become fully united then it's likely EU will disband.

I think it's going to be difficult for her to go because there isn't anyone really who can replace her.

The problem in the EU is that the member state leaders are pro-EU but the people are becoming more and more eurosceptic so its a bit of a double whammy for the 27.

And to add to their woes, any increases in 'membership fees' to make up the shortfall will not go down well with the people either!

Absolutely not JBR.

The people are beginning to compare their own situations as EU members with the UK and it's decision to leave. It won't be long before the pandoras box, opened by the UK goes under close scrutiny by the people of the 27.

You know what happened when pandora opened the box zeus had given her. Just hope your analogy doesn't come true.

You better stay happy with your misguided opinions, don't bother to do your own research, just base yourself on articles you get in your postbox.

The report refers back to the report I quoted your arguing with yourself

If you bothered to read properly you would understand a lot more.

Anyone interested in the truth of your statement can use the link in the article, and just look at the front of the report. That settles this dispute.

You just misunderstood the meaning of a pandora box. Now you used the analogy on brexit, you cannot un-use it. Just as pandora could't close the box.

From this story has grown the idiom "to open a Pandora's box", meaning to do or start something that will cause many unforeseen problems.

In my perception your analogy of brexit with pandora's box is quite to the point. However, from your perspective it must feel very stupid to have used it.
