Re: A well-deserved knighthood!

Did anyone see on the telly how the aeroplanes flying over where he lives in Bedfordshire, 'drew' a big smiley face in the sky, with a big letter 'T'?
It looked really good, I hope he liked it.
I think those pilots are so clever.

Re: A well-deserved knighthood!

Captain Sir Tom Moore goes from strength to strength. He must be overjoyed that his efforts have been recognised:

"Second World War veteran and NHS fundraiser Captain Sir Tom Moore has received another accolade for his efforts.

On Wednesday, the 100-year-old was admitted as an Honorary Member of the Guild of Freemen of the City of London."

While posting the above, some of you may also be interested in another news item showing where some of the £32.8 million total donations went to:

"The extraordinary fundraising achievement of Capt Tom Moore - now Sir Tom Moore - has been well documented. But what has the money he raised been spent on?

The £32.8m raised by centenarian Sir Tom was in aid of the health service's charitable wing, NHS Charities Together. It is part of an overall £116m collected for the fund as part of its Covid-19 Urgent Appeal. Some £20m has been spent so far."
