Yep,they walk amongst us.

One mystery 'super-spreader' who was later diagnosed with COVID-19 managed to also get a vape bar and an Indian takeaway in Somerset closed.

Self-isolate and stay indoors for a while longer, that does seem to be the only safe way. I just go out for shopping once every two or three weeks now. That's stressful enough for me when others try and brush past me to get something off the shelf. All I can do then is just move quickly away from them – idiots!

I don't think we're getting the whole story.

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

I just heard that my son, normally stationed at HMAS Creswell on beautiful Jervis Bay, was told on Monday to pack his bag because he was going to guard the border against insurgent Mexicans from the south. He drove down on Tuesday.

According to the radio this morning there were 2.5km queues either side of the border on the Hume Highway (main highway between Melbourne and Sydney). Last night the demand for permits crashed the newly and hurriedly set up web site.

According to the radio people within 50 km of the border can cross freely by just showing their driving license.

Victoria in deep sh!t

Victoria has recorded another 134 new cases of coronavirus, as authorities warn police will dramatically increase their presence in areas that are going back into lockdown. That is the third day with over 100 cases.

The state will reimpose stage three restrictions on metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire from midnight tonight to try and bring a surge in COVID-19 transmission under control.

Scotty to reduce number of returnees

Prime Minister Scotty from Marketing has flagged the number of people coming into Australia could be further reduced to ease the burden on states and territories administering hotel quarantine.

The number of international arrivals Australia accepts has plummeted since March, but Scotty said he would take a proposal to National Cabinet to reduce that number even further.

Scotty did not outline how the number of international arrivals would be reduced under his proposal, but said it was more about "containing numbers" than a pause on arrivals.

According to the radio last night over 200000 returning residents have arrived back in Australia since the borders were closed

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

It's been just over a month since the Government's COVIDSafe app was launched.

Since then, it's been downloaded over 6 million times and used in at least one successful contact tracing exercise.

Soon after COVIDSafe was made available, the Prime Minister said the app was central to the Government's strategy for reopening the economy.

As of Sunday afternoon — the latest day government figures were available — 6.13 million Australians have downloaded the COVIDSafe app. Just over a month ago, on April 29 — when the app had been available for three days — we had already hit the 3 million mark.

That means it's taken us a month to double the 3 million downloads the app received within three days of its launch.

Like Australia's coronavirus infections, the app download curve has flattened — and it's getting flatter by the day.

Victoria keeps getting worse

Victoria has recorded another 165 cases of coronavirus, including several hospital and aged care workers, on the first day of a six-week lockdown in Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire.

Of the new infections, 30 are linked to known outbreaks and 135 are being investigated by health authorities.

For the second day in a row, hospital staff and aged care workers are among those to have contracted COVID-19.

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) said two healthcare workers from the Royal Melbourne Hospital had tested positive for the virus.

Two people who work at the Sunshine Hospital emergency department have also contracted the virus.

Prime Minister Scotty from Marketing says inbound flights to Australia will be cut by half and returned travellers will be required to pay for mandatory hotel quarantine in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Meanwhile in Victoria

Victorians have been urged to wear masks when they leave their homes after the state recorded 288 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, the largest daily increase of the pandemic so far.

Premier Daniel Andrews said masks were not being made mandatory, but people in lockdown areas should wear masks in situations where they cannot maintain physical distancing.

I've just read on the news that there's a new pneumonia virus in Kazakhstan, deadlier than corona, and WHO say that corona isn't going away, it's getting worse,
