Re: Up The Garden Path

Yep Dex, just did it before the drizzle started, now covered with plastic and old delivery pallets. The Meta Plates are coming today, and tomorrow, I have to take a slab sample to a Builders Merchant some miles away (to have the best chance of matching them) to buy another 50 or so slabs, I bought this batch off Ebay 3 or 4 years ago and can't remember who the seller was.
Still ain't got the Shed, it is supposed to have been shipped to the courier a week ago today, for some reason, the seller and the manufacturer seem to think their responsibility ended when it was shipped to the courier.

Re: Up The Garden Path

Forgot. What are the slabs for? As a "nice" floor for the Shed?

Re: Up The Garden Path

The row of three slabs in front of the existing shed are to be extended across the garden for access to the new shed.

Then one row in front of the office to where a water butt will be.

Gotcha

Slabs look like pretty common buff or grey ones available from B&Q (450mm square)

The problem when I asked the local Garden/Builders Merchant I showed a slab sample to seems to be they are Wet Cast so, although they are a standard 450 X 450mm, the mix involved and the fade rate may be difficult to match, I have a broken piece in the for matching purposes.

Ah. OK. As you said above the existing slabs are at least 3 years old anyway.

Can be irksome to find ones even close to the original batch colour at times. Last year I build a lean-to verandah fo someone who got their original slabs from B&Q a couple of years earlier. So they went there last year to get a few extra for the bits that I needed, and although they were identical pattern with the same nominal colour, they looked completely different even after karchering down the originals.

Good luck with your search. If you can't get anything close enough, suppose you could consider deliberately having a contrast.
