Re: British Gas Homecare.
I have a boiler contract with SSE . I've been with them 9 years , when the contract is coming to an end I negotiate the cost . I know I'm going to be told it's such a waste of money to get embroiled in but I have been ripped off so many times by engineers I've called out . During the contract I've had them out at least twice in the year to replace parts and a thorough service yearly . I too get peace of mind as I know they will come asap and I can be assured the work done will be the best .Re: British Gas Homecare.
Under the Homecare agreement with BG I have had various electrical and plumbing jobs done and repairs to kitchen appliances. A major job was searching for a water mains leak that my water company stated was under my lawn. It took 3 days of digging, the use of specialised equipment but was eventually sorted. No doubt it would have cost me an arm and a leg had I not had cover.Re: British Gas Homecare.
I've used several suppliers of home maintenance agreements. Some have been cheap, some not; some have been good, some not. BG Homecare is not cheap, but it is good.Re: British Gas Homecare.
Would never sign up to any of these subscription "service" plans and esp not BG. I've often been at my local postal delivery office to pick up a parcel and the BG boys are always there in numbers presumably picking up delivered parts. The things you here them say about houses and what they are doing simply underpinned what I already knew. Money for old rope.Re: British Gas Homecare.
I do all my own repairs , we often get Yorkshire water writing to us about our responsibility of the mains water to our house, I’ve never known anyone around here that has had problems like this and more often than not your house insurance will cover this, realist is right when these companies try to scare you into buying these covers, you’d be better putting the money aside to either buy new or pay to have it fixedRe: British Gas Homecare.
I don't have any spare cash for these service cover type thingies.
