Photography question

I have a Canon Powershot G7 and I don't know how to change the setting/s to take portrait shots.

The manual has a couple of pages called 'shooting modes' but doesn't say how to find them

Can anyone help please ?

I've found a thingie !!! and when I turn it I can get portrait mode

Yep ... I is able to do fings eventually

Took some pics of 'him' and he looks odd but the nose is OK great ... this is normal

I've done quite a few of those in the past but they're often better when taken by the computer (see profile pics).

I shall def try again now that I have the correct setting.

There are some of me on Facebook too but me conk looks BIG !
