What a smashing day it has been with cloudless skies and 23 to 25°C. It is 8:30pm and I have just wandered in from having a few beers on the patio.

I hope the year continues like this. Bliss!

My loopy daughter is missing all this pleasure, she is in Japan skiing - waist deep in snow she tells me. Madness!

Spoke to Doreen in Erina last night. They've had a lovely time in the sun. Few glasses of wine in the sun

Here its just dark mornings and early dark nights. Hope we get a good Summer.

Woke up sneezing my nose has been running away with me today.......how strange it is going to bed fine, having a good sleep then waking up with a cold.

I must admit it is a bit steamy today only 27°C but 60% humidity which is awful. Worked up quite a sweat taking down the Christmas decorations.

I wasn't, high humidity is rare here but when it does occur it makes it uncomfortable. Usually humidity is about 30% which is why very warm weather is quite bearable indeed pleasant.

Once humidity is about 60% it is uncomfortable because sweat doesn't evaporate so it feels very 'sticky'.

Fact of life I am afraid.

Bruce, I suppose it's like Bonny Scotland. We get so much rain, but we never get used to it. We laugh about it sometimes. Think we'd be used to it by now!
