Re: Not a happy new year....

Thanks for your kind words everyone - much appreciated.
Thanks also to Meg & Clumsy for their migraine information ... I've passed it on to Paula.

I've just replied to Paula's post on FB. Glad she feels well enough to write something to her followers. Hope she continues to improve.

Thank you Jazzi. She said she's still got a 'muzzy' head this morning but has had a good nights sleep & feels much better.

Re: Not a happy new year....

I too am very glad to hear that the diagnosis is less of a worry than perhaps the initial prognosis was Carol but I must say that I am surprised at Migraine.

I have had migraine in the past and the pain was excruciating but, luckily I seem to have grown out of it now.

I had a severe pain in my head not that long ago that I suspect was Neuralgia and that's what I thought when I first read you original post.
I can stand a lot of pain but this was absolutely unbelievable so I could easily envisage someone collapsing from Neuralgia pain.

I happy for you and your family that it's turned out as it has - not a perfect situation of course but better than I feel you were thinking at one time.

Best Wishes, stevmk2

I couldn't help but think the worst - I'm so relieved I feel like dancing.
Great news. Hope you DID do a little dancing!

Re: Not a happy new year....

You dance Carol. Good news.
I started getting migraines when I was going into the menopause that's
one of the reasons why I went on HRT and never suffered from then
after that.
There is a bracelet you can use Carol and it is a magnetic copper
one is can help a lot of migraine sufferers although the medicals
say they have no proof of that just many sufferers saying yes it does.

I personally now get a silent migraine and I start seeing flashing lights
and feel a little woozy so I don't leave it longer than 5 minutes and
take a disprin and sit down and its gone in about an hour.
