I couldn't leave a weak frail person behind either, or disabled. hopefully I never have to - those that are vulnerable are just that, regardless of age, the younger are fitter - but I see your point

Thank goodness the day was saved Agent! Must have been pandemonium at the time though?

Hopefully none of us will have to go through that experience.

Not really all that bad, sent everyone below with life jackets, told them what to do, sent out a pan pan and the whole thing lasted about 15 minutes.. all safe

I've never understood the women and children first ethos. It seems to make more sense to me to keep whole families together, rather than leave widows with children struggling without their husbands - and why should poor men have to be left behind anyway? Grossly unfair and cruel IMO.

You ought to look at a mothers face when she thinks her children may be in danger.

Would a mother give up her own life to save her children ?

I think so.

Not sure what that has to do with what I said, to be honest. I'm not suggesting mothers and children should be separated am I? Read it again.

Firstly if you have a life jacket on, you needn't worry about being able to swim.
More women die because they have to put their lipstick on and do their hair first.
