All these police about and not on pulling up the drivers of these lorries for not wearing seatbelts.I wonder why

Where I used to live those massive loads used to go down every week.

Well worth stopping to watch too, if only for the police trafficking maneuvers clearing away all parked cars before its path .. you can feel the earth rumbling under your feet as it approaches.
Just about all of them were covered with broken branches on the top from its trip under overhanging trees.
One of them caught a telegraph pole once, they judge the width that tight, and the whole lot of them along the street came tumbling down.

Well done to all concerned - but - it does beg the question - why on earth is something like that allowed on the road? It could - obviously - have been transported in three or four smaller loads.
