Me thinks this naughty man is having us on.

Probably a Freemason ..or he didn't want to wear out his tracksuit bottom on his kneeling-down knee.

Isn’t that standard procedure when arranging work at your house? It started off with a simple ‘do you want him to take his trainers off or keep them on’ and then progressed a bit further!!

Seriously though, he DID have his trouser-leg rolled up and I simply wondered if it was a fashionable thing with young blokes. If it is, I missed it’s introduction!

You and me both.

I think I'd have had to ask him.

Ey? Unless you are on the starting line of running a race, how often do you kneel down on only one knee to work, when two is more stable?
Anyway, why would he worry about wearing out work clothes, it wasn't his best suit he was wearing?

Now that’s a different kettle of fish... one leg of suit trousers rolled up ... definitely a funny handshake job!

I should ask for someone else next time - just in case.

I did when kneeling down to mend a customer's TV or video recorder. Sometimes one knee, sometimes the other, even both. I just didn't care what knee or knees I knelt on. Such a rebel.

I never rolled my trouser leg (or legs) up to save wearing the knees out though, even though just a poor TV engineer who could hardly afford tracksuit bottoms. So sad.

Perhaps one trouser leg was concealing an electronic tag.
