Re: What's the world coming to

This is a serious question in my mind and as I get older it concerns me deeply . I worry for my granchildren.

There also seems to be a deep selfishness in people . Where has love and compassion gone

What a doom and gloom thread! It makes you want to give up and die!

Surely, there is some good in the the world? Can someone start a thread on that?

Hi

I was told I would not reach the age of 50.

Not medical, just injuries,

I woke up on my 50th Birthday after being told I had a 1 in 3 change of surviving the operation.

I have been shot, stabbed and blown up.

I have been left for dead 3 times,

Told I would never walk or work again.

I am still here and still making a nuisance of myself.

Never, ever, give in.

The Medics get it wrong.

Life is for living, make the most of it.

Didn’t our elders say the same thing about our generation too?

Re: What's the world coming to

I think that the world is a far better place , than years ago, and getting better all the time.

You think it's getting worse, go get a time trip back a hundred years, that would give you a surprise.

How about before Free NHS? how about shortages of food, how about the ability to get out and get educated?

Charles Darwin was right, though, when hinting at "the survival of the fittest" .

He didn't just mean the beings of a certain colour would not be targeted by preying Eagles, etc.

I think it's all out there and that the "fittest" have the itch to go and find it.

What is hurting us most?

In my opinion THE MEDIA, aka The Doom & Gloom mongers who thrive on spreading bad news!

The planet has maybe, but by then it will be a burned out lump of rock floating about in space.
