Ready to Quit

Rumours persist that the Queen might abdicate on her 95th birthday in favour of Charles.

One Express reader warned the Queen against stepping down during uncertain times for the country and the institution of monarchy.

They wrote: "I strongly feel that the Queen should continue as the monarch at least until her platinum Jubilee in 2022!

With many engagements cancelled who would blame her if she did.

I agree with our Swimmy. Trouble is William has been quoted as saying he doesn't want to become king.

I will be sad to see the Queen go, she's done a marvelous job.

I think time for change , not Charles but William and Kate . I doubt it will be them though . I'm not a royalist but I have to say the Queen has been amazing but definately time for William.
