I have learned that The Forum Fish Wives can ve very vitriolic when stirred.

‘Now shrivelled hags, with poison bags,
Discharge your loathsome loads!
Spit flame and fire, unholy choir!
Belch forth your venom, toads!

The other (more recently) is how a better quality photo can be taken by coming away from the automatic settings on an a compact camera. Thanks to d00d for that one.

I'm sure there are other things and I might think of them in due course.
I didn't know anyone was listening.

Actually, I don't remember mentioning it, erm, other than to say it can be fun to deliberately underexpose pics by cranking down the Exposure Value, sometimes called Exposure Compensation.

Many lovely people on here.

Re: What Things Have You Learned On This Forum?

I’ve learn that you can sketch and paint on glass by picking out a picture you like, placing the glass on it and copy the picture in your own style. Told to me by a wonderful artist here.

I’ve learned that you can add rice to a sock and heat it up in the microwave to ease pain.

I’ve learned what some words you use in your part of the world have completely different meanings on our side of the world

I’ve learned that most of you people have big hearts and a great sense of humour.

And lastly and lately I’ve discovered that many of you are socially awkward but have gotten better at covering it up and what impressed me most is that it was said to help make me feel better about myself. It’s priceless and something I will forever remember.

Oh!
I suppose every site some animosity amongst others. I’m starting to realize that it’s perfectly normal.

I placed the warmed sock of rice on my peepers! Probably not a good idea to eat the rice unless you want broken teeth
Did you mean that if I ate your rice you would punch me in the mouth and break my teeth Arty?....
