Re: Electric Vehicles

I can't think of anywhere else to post this. I received this youtube from an American friend. Feel free to watch and comment.

'"Are wind, solar, and batteries the magical solutions to all our energy needs? Or do they come with too high a price?"
Mark Mills, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, analyzes the true cost — both economic and environmental — of so-called green energy.'

It's certainly biased politically but much less biased in details though pro carbon bias is very evident. No mention is made about Pumped water storage for example, nor rationing which will have to come about especially in America come what may.

Nuclear power really must be expanded as part of the way forward and such fossil fuel propaganda recognised as what it is.

Politely presented lies.

Good video Percy, I've always believed that you can't get anything for nothing, there is always a cost. The hardware needed to build wind turbines, solar panels, and batteries must be taking a toll on earth's resources. He also forgot to mention lubrication needed for wind turbines and electric vehicles, not to mention its use in producing plastics and other essential items. So oil will still be one of the most important natural resources.

We can produce an alternative method of producing electricity, but I don't think we are doing anything better for planet, we are just putting different demands on it...

Re: Electric Vehicles

I know that Southampton Uni were working on a project to build prototype electricity generators using water-filled natural rubber* "sausages" out at sea because several Malaysian students (based at our laboratory) were studying for their PhDs there on this project.

* An excellent, low cost, recyclable, and sustainable natural product that would use very little in the way of additional oil-derived products in this application.
