Yep! We do seem to be particularly good at that here in Britain.

As if that would be any use beyond being a very minor inconvenience for some and no inconvenience whatsoever for most!

Agreed. They also earn a shedload for themselves and their agents doing private functions, business deals, etc. But we're only talking about the top flight players here. What about the majority of players in the lower leagues that are, at best, semi-professional?

As far as the NHS is concerned, in my opinion, it is a huge, top heavy, bureaucracy populated by greedy barstewards on huge salaries that deny the front-line the financial rewards they rightly deserve.

But it has to be done for a variety of very good reasons from determining the price of medication in order to hit the "sweet spot" to balancing cost of doing a thing Vs not doing it and paying the price. It also must be used to determine the viability of clinical treatment Vs doing nothing and letting the patient croak.

pay must be based on financial added value.

Hi

Wrong, as usual.

20% Tax for all and 40% tax for everyone earning above the limit.

No upper limit for NI and all income taxed, no different taxes for dividends, no exclusions from Inheritance Tax.

The added value is in the management they provide and their ensuring that performance metrics are obtained to indicate the efficiency of the various levels in the Trust in which they work. The question then arises is the management structure correct and are the managers performing well within their job descriptions. The question then arises as to is the structure correctly set up but that's a different matter ---

If people can't figure out ways to avoid being stuck in that position they deserve to pay it.

Admittedly it's more difficult for a 9- 5 "normal" wage slave but even then far from impossible to reduce what HMRC try to clobber someone with - but there's always a way if someone thinks outside of the box.
