There are very few IDLE rich (apart from the horrible "royal" family).

In most cases it's "There's nobbut three generations atween a clog and clog " anyway.

Re: Universal Basic Income?

It is a scandal that the NMW in 2020 is a measly £8.72 per hour.
Have any MP's lived on that? Do they know how much it costs to keep a family?
Of course not, they can spend £100.00 in a Fancy Restaurant meal happily giving the ownr 80% profit

Even at Eighteen years of age the wage should start at £10.00 per week, and increase Pro Rata.
Biilionaires should pay a lot more tax by law, instead of avoidinig Tax, compliments of the Government, and stop boasting about paying Half a £million for their offsprings parties and Weddings
I am not jealous, as I have always worked hard being self employed and paid huge amounts of tax as well.
Having recently sold my Company I then had to pay anorther £170.000 Tax
50% of the proceeds has gone to my family and that will be taxed also.

Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others.

There should be no minimum wage, instead let market forces call the tune.

Now THAT I can agree with!
Without salary incentives I would not have experienced the yearning to climb the ladder, or put another way, if the lower salaries were better, I would have been content to linger too long with the lower echelons.

Hi

So those who are ill or disabled would not be able to feed themselves.

I am surprised that you are a supporter of Hitler, because that was his view.

Already there are a series of means tested Benefits (FAR too generous IMO) that provide support so your supposition falls before the get go.

As for your highly offensive reference to Adolf - such stupid insults are like ducks water off my back.

In the past I've been insulted by professionals! (Come to think of it most of 'em ---)

An increasing number of us already are. It is inevitable that the NHS can not continue as it is.

It is unaffordable. IMO provision of emergency treatment should be provided and maybe a limited sum to provide health care for chronic conditions and after that then you're on your own with nothing beyond limited palliative care at best but that could be supplemented by private contributory insurance.

Covid virus is going to trigger a change to what so many folk have been taking as an entitlement and normality as to be yet unbelievable, certainly by people born post 1960.

There is no alternative.
