Re: Back after a very nasty fall

I hope your recovery goes well and you are soon back to your old self again. I know how easily such things happen. It is almost two years now since I tripped in the garden, fell at the wrong angle onto the edge of a concrete patio and somehow smashed my shoulder and arm to bits and pieces. To this day I can't believe I did so much damage on one trip ! The surgeon said it looked as if I'd been hit by one of those wrecking balls. 8 screws and a number of pins later things are pretty good, just a couple of movements I can't make but that's no real problem. Give it time Shirley and you will be back as good as new. Best wishes.

Re: Back after a very nasty fall

Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes.

After I first got out of hospital I was going about as though nothing had happened to me except that I was at home and my husband was running around after me (although nothing new there). But after a few weeks it suddenly hit me what I had done, what could have happened, as the coffee table that I hit was near to our French windows and it is funny how the mind works at what could have happened and not what did.

Clumsy I really feel for you that was a very nasty fall and all the damage that you did to yourself. I bet you have a great time getting through the airport scanners. Wishing you all the best for your continued recovery.

My first day back at work was lovely as so many people came to see me from the other companies that work in this building. I work on my own on the top floor and that was one of the main concerns with the doctors when I said I wanted to come back to work.

I do have to keep moving as sat at a computer for any length of time and my neck locks so I have to keep doing exercises oh and getting up to make a drink. So its not all bad.

Take care everyone
