If the Beeb had spent thousands on props they would complain about that. I think the computer generated effects in films have spoiled things for this type of drama. Everything now has to be "authentic or realistic", I find it best to concentrate on the acting and the story.

Played catch up last night and watched all 6 episodes it is a good series not really to much gore. The guy as the looks of a younger Orlando Bloom and fits perfectly into the part.
It looks like the beeb have finally realised you cannot beat the old style of series based on the history of dear old England. Seems very much like the series Vikings from 2013 but that was from the point of the Vikings look of life. this obviously is from the English side.
I have enjoyed both series hoping for more and of course lets not forget we also have The Musketeer's coming again soon.
