I only lasted around twenty minutes with it and thought was awful so turned it off.

I really liked it, Ruthio. I have to say, I would have preferred it to remain a love story - as such, I found it delicately observed, finely acted and convincing. But no, sadly it turned into a thriller and from that point on I didn't enjoy it quite so much, but will very definitely continue watching.

I agree, Indigo, I thought the acting superb and the story has me hooked. Do you think the Jim Broadbent character is an MP or a spy? Couldn't quite follow that...

I am not sure - he seems a bit too clever to be an MP, but a bit too open to be a spy! But I'm sure all will be revealed - eventually!

Amazing drama, I suppose some scenes might upset some folk, but it's all in context and I'm absolutely hooked.
But I don't believe the blood test, think it was deliberatrly falsified to weaken his resolve...so there!
