Ha ha - can't wait for that. You would have it for 5 years if we didn't't leave - joined by the right wing Dutch, Germans, French, Austrians, Greeks, Spanish, Hungarians etc too.

Maybe the EU won't change after all - because it can't
.

How sad that your only outlook on life is to screw things up.

Are not the EU elections (if they happen) to vote for MEP's for the European Parliament? in which voting is by majority vote, thereby doing away with any veto.

The European Parliament adopts a proposal when half plus one of all Members of Parliament vote in favour. Thus, a majority requires at least 378 votes in favour, regardless of the number of votes cast in a vote. This means at least half plus one of all MEP will have to cast their vote in order to achieve the number of votes necessary to pass a proposal.

My only concern is that the Brexit Party and UKIP might split the leave vote.

I wish they'd join forces.

A lot of Kippers are joining the Brexit party. Their association with the red head football nutters and Tommy Robinson has made a lot of their membership politically homeless ... and then the Brexit Party came along. Finally a party supporting leave, unlike the Tories or Labour who refuse to stand on their manifesto commitments and lie.

Parliament are a sideshow. They have no power at all...just a glorified house of lords but with bigger salaries and pensions.

Both ukip and Brexit parties are founded on one huge hypocritical lie, they participate in Euro elections, notwithstanding they are opposed to the EU and are actively campaigning for its destruction. Hypocrites each and every one of them.

Re: Nigel's new Brexit Party

Good interview earlier today by Ann Widdecombe who is standing in the EU elections for the Brexit party.
She makes a good point about the EU taking advantage of us during the negotiations because we have a weak government.
What a pity Ann wasn't our negotiator...

Just the right type of candidate, over 70 and thick as 2 short planks. I see she has been kicked out the con party as well, obviously didn't have the bottle to resign before she joined the reptile.

Good cartoon of her in the times today though with the reptile.
