Favourite wine

My son's girlfriend likes Macon Village. Not being much of a wine drinker had never heard of this. Its not a cheap one and you never find it reduced. Does anyone else like this. I like the very cheap rose wines!!

Re: Favourite wine

Macon is one of my favourite white wines, along with Chablis, nice and dry, just the way I like it. However as you say, its pricey, so I tend to go for cheap and not so cheerful, most of the time. Muscadet is quite dry, and a bit less expensive, so I tend to go for that. Treat myself to the good stuff now and again.

Re: Favourite wine

We enjoy a Tarrango from Brown Brothers, It is good as it can be chilled, it was developed to taste good chilled even though it is a Red wine.

Here is a link if you are interested.

http://www.brownbrothers.co.uk/range.html

Something I did not know until a couple of years back but I will set you a bit of a find out knowledge, improvement task.

Does white wine come from white grapes and red wine come from dark grapes and how is Brandy made. No prize but nice to bring up in conversation with others.

Hope you enjoy and remember wine does not have to be high in alcohol content to be nice.

Re: Favourite wine

I hate Wine , but Hubby loves a nice deep Barolo .
I`ll stick with my Voddie as I much prefer the grain to the grape
