If you say they changed it Meg I would take your word against theirs any day, after all someone in Worcester would know about sauce. My Wife loves the 'Chef' sauce, it looks the same as HP, its thick and brown and probably tastes the same (I dont fancy it, I prefer a more liquid soft sauce, yes Lea & Perrins). Chef sauce used to be made over here by Williams & Woods since 1921, now its made by Jacobs & Fruitfield and she says its not the same as it used to be, saucy thing!.Re: HP Sauce
I must admit that I'm not a fan of any sauce really,particularly the highly flavoured ones, they tend to be used to mask the taste of whatever they are used on unless used very sparingly, and to adulterate the taste of bacon with HP ought to be made a criminal offence...Re: HP Sauce
