Hmmm... that made me think, which is a better way to go, spider bite or being run over by a London bus?
I think I'll go for old age and natural causes.

So, just be careful setting foot on Aussie soil.
I think you are trying to deter any more Pommies from
coming to Ozzie Ploppy judging by your post!

Best Regards Donkeyman!

Not at all, Donkey. As far as I'm concerned, all nationalities are welcome to migrate to this beautiful country.
Provided they are prepared to fit in.
Have you booked your passage yet?

be happy as she has just managed to get me back from
SA,
However l think you do live in one of the nicer parts of
this planet so keep enjoying!

Best regards Donkeman!

When I first came here they used to drive me up the wall, a bite would be maddingly itchy, I always slept with a mozzie coil burning but after a while I stopped noticing them at all and my body didn't react to a mozzie bite.

If I get bitten these days I hardly notice.

I can't even remember ever been bitten by them. Perhaps I haven't got enough blood in my alkohol?
But they do go for my wife, who doesn't drink at all.

No one has mentioned our wonderful federal government fortunately the Australien Government has just released an ad in time for the election to remind you of their many attributes.

Oh, you are so right about that. And, they aren`t the only ones. Mysterious things still tend to befall ''Pommie'' back packers. They set off as cheery as you please for some remote spot out beyond the back of beyond...just so that they can tell their pals when they get back home of how they visited the ''real'' Outback. Then, promptly disappear without trace, seemingly. Never to be seen again, more often than not.
Must be something to some of those gory legends, after all...!!
