I hate wholemeal bread

Despite how much healthier it is for you, I just can't get over the taste or texture of wholemeal bread as opposed to your average white bread. I've found maybe one or two wholemeal breads I've liked, but most of them I hate with a passion.

I'm a confirmed white bread addict.

Anyone else?

Nope... I think commercial bread and white in particular tastes like wallpaper paste. Its nasty, damp and Uk bread has far too much vineger and salt. Homemade and wholemeal for me..

On a regular basis I never eat anything but wholemeal, but I love artisan breads of most descriptions, and bakeries are my favourite places to window shop..

Hovis seeded is nice but your average wholemeal is slightly less tasty than a cardboard box.

Me too Linda. We have wholemeal bread all the time because it is 'good for us' but I don't really like it. I can't get excited about a wholemeal roll either. Give me Tiger bread any day.

I'm like Barry, and rarely eat anything but wholemeal.
Don't much like all the bits in Granary though.

White bread tastes funny to me now, except occasionally a bit of tiger bread, same as dongles.

Re: I hate wholemeal bread

I found it just needed getting used to, I used to be a confirmed white fan but these days I find it hard to find a white with any taste.
