Anything in the name?

My question is slightly tongue in cheek, and concerns the
name of the chinese tech giant, Huawei! Can anything be
read into the similarities between the chinese name and the
British pronunciation of it, which to me sounds like the
sentence ' who are we'? Could this be a cryptic message of
some sort?

Best Regards Donkeyman!

Didn't Bernard Bresslaw shout that in the Carry on films?

Re: Anything in the name?

Ooh I've just googled it!
Hua can mean splendid or China
Wei means act or achievement

So which ever way you look at, it it's boasting !
