The Music of the late great John Barry

Somewhere In Time from the film of the same name. If you haven't heard it then find it on Utube and you will be hooked on John Barry for ever.

That is a beautiful piece of music EZRider

He has penned some great pieces over the years, I was only talking about Midnight Cowboy the other day and I still hum along to the Persuaders theme music.

I think composer who write mainly film scores can tend to be overlooked .
JB has written some lovely music, I like the theme music he composed for Dances with Wolves and Out of Africa

Re: The Music of the late great John Barry

I remember the days when he and his band were known as The John Barry Seven and were often on Top of The Pops backing Adam Faith. The first film I can recall of his was called The Deep which starred the beautiful Jaqueline Bissett and Nick Nolte. Another great movie score.
