ring ring

So I get to the phone-nobody there. 1471 I know that number-ring back. This slurred voice says hello. you rang me. Did I ?

Did you just want to say hello?

The point of this is that chronic pain is no fun-sometimes it gets so bad one takes a bit too much morphine and in the haze one just wants to hear a friendly voice even if you forget why you rang.

Ok my friend rang last night but was so high on morphine she couldn`t even remember that she had made a call.

OG, I knew what you meant! It must be awful to be in such constant pain and have no respite from it.

Yes i understood OG, and my thoughts go out too the lady concerned, chronic pain is so debilitating. Especially with the sleep deprivation to deal with.

I have a friend who often doesn't remember the lengthy phone conversations we have.
She is on some kind of cancer medication (yep she is all clear) but her brain is definitely not right.
It can be difficult, but as a supportive type, I always make time for her.

Sleep deprivation is just awful ... hugs to your friend OG
